- Contact Lens Information: Lens brand, replacement schedule, start dates, and replacement history
- User Preferences: Notification settings, reminder times, and app preferences
- Prescription Information: Optional prescription details (Premium feature only, stored locally)
- Accessory Tracking Data: Information about your lens case, cleaning solution, and eye drops (Premium feature only)
Automatically Collected Information:
- Device Information: Device type and iOS version (for notification delivery and app optimization)
- App Usage: Basic usage analytics to improve app functionality (no personal identification)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide accurate contact lens replacement reminders
- Display your lens tracking information and history
- Send you notifications when it's time to replace your lenses
- Sync your data across your devices via iCloud (if you enable this feature)
- Improve app functionality and user experience
- Provide customer support when you contact us
3. Data Storage & Security
Your privacy and data security are our top priorities:
- Local Storage: All your data is stored locally on your device using Core Data, a secure Apple framework
- iCloud Sync: If you enable iCloud sync, your data is securely stored in your personal iCloud account. We do not have access to your iCloud data
- No External Servers: We do not operate servers that store your personal lens data
- Encryption: Data is protected using iOS system-level encryption
- No Third-Party Sharing: We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes
- No Advertising: We do not use your data for advertising or tracking across other apps and websites
4. Third-Party Services
FreshLens integrates with the following Apple services:
- Apple StoreKit: For processing Premium subscription payments (managed by Apple)
- Apple Push Notification Service: For delivering lens replacement reminders
- iCloud: For optional data sync across your devices (user-controlled)
These services are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
5. Your Rights and Choices
You have complete control over your data:
- Access Your Data: All your data is visible and accessible within the app at any time
- Delete Your Data: You can delete all your data at any time by going to Settings > Delete All Data
- Export Your Data: You can view and manually export your data from the app
- Control Notifications: Manage notification permissions through iOS Settings > Notifications > FreshLens
- Control iCloud Sync: Enable or disable iCloud sync in app Settings
- Cancel Subscription: Manage your Premium subscription through iOS Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions
6. Children's Privacy
FreshLens is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@freshlens.app, and we will help you delete that information.
7. Data Retention
Your data is retained on your device until you choose to delete it. If you uninstall the app without backing up to iCloud, all local data will be permanently deleted. If you have iCloud sync enabled, data remains in your iCloud account until you delete it or disable iCloud sync.

FreshLens is available worldwide. Your data is stored on your device and, if enabled, in your iCloud account (which may be stored in various Apple data centers globally based on your location). By using FreshLens, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data as described in this Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, regulatory, or operational reasons. When we make changes, we will:
- Update the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy
- Notify you through the app or via email (if we have your email address)
- Post the updated policy at https://freshlens.app/privacy
Your continued use of FreshLens after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
